A women's college basketball star has been accused of participating in the July fatal shooting of a man during an armed robbery.
Kennesaw State University point guard Kamiyah Street was arrested Thursday by Atlanta police investigating the murder of 21-year-old Nashiem Hubbard-Etienne, according to reports.
She has been suspended indefinitely from all womens basketball team and athletic activities, Kennesaw spokeswoman Tammy DeMel said after the arrest, Fox 5 Atlanta reported.
An indictment shows Street was one of five individuals charged with Hubbard-Etiennes murder, the station reported. She faces charges of murder, felony murder, attempted armed robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, firearm possession during the commission of a felony.
Of her co-defendants, all men, two have been arrested, according to the station.
Police said the robbery happened at an apartment complex.
The victim was with a friend when he was shot multiple times.
"My son was not who they were after, but like most situations, the innocent one always catches the bullet," his mother Maiyannie Hubbard-Armster told WSB-TV.
Street, a junior, scored 32 points in one game this season and was averaging 19 points a game through the teams first five games. Their sixth game was Saturday.

Now? Not so much.
Interesting that she/it was only "suspended" from the team (most likely only until the dust settles) and not dropped from the team... Interesting...
A true scholar-athlete.
I wonder what her grades looked like?
Not really.
What if it turns out that she's 100% innocent?
Well, I didn't propose (yet) that she should be hanged, gassed, injected, or electrocuted...
If she is "innocent", then she could be un-dropped... Suspended college athletes keep their free ride... Dropped college athletes do not...
Guess her gang is an equal opportunity murderous thug gang... Wouldn’t happen to the UConn women’s team... /s
She wants to be LaBron’s teammate...
As far as I know, the worst Tennessee has had were a couple of shoplifters.
Alexis Hornbuckle had a similar incident a few years ago.
