Whereas for Nunes to talk with ex-Ukrainian officials does not use the organs of power for private purposes. All investigations have to start somewhere. That somewhere consists of inquiries made with the people involved. Contra the far left media, an investigation not conducted is not a conspiracy theory debunked.
Why? I think it’s good to know what the heck is going on from both sides of the aisle. I didn’t say I believe Nunes commited any crimes because I don’t.

When the Democrats (and that includes the MSM) control the language we can anticipate that it will be put to use to support their political agenda.
Case in point: Look for evidence of a crime and you will be accused of digging up dirt. That is the term they are using for Trump and it will certainly be applied to Giuliani.
The connected have been immunized from investigations because we can simply not be allowed to “dig up dirt’.

If true, Nunes was looking for Ukrainian/Biden attempts to subvert the 2016 presidential election, along with other corruption.
ABC adds the much referred to hackneyed “digging up dirt” pejorative to change the meaning.
Nunes is digging up dirt of Trump’s opponent in the same fashion that little adam schiff is digging up dirt on his political opponent —Trump.

There has been a red herring pushed from the beginning, that being that there is something wrong with getting information from foreign sources.
There is nothing wrong with it, and there never was. What was wrong, in the case of what they did with Trump, was invent fraudulent information, and use government agencies to do it.
Had Trump actually been in league with the Russian government, in some nefarious way, it would have been right and proper to dig into it, and you could only do that with foreign sources. He wasn’t, and they knew he wasn’t. Its the fraud that was wrong, not having foreign sources.
You notice the Dems only scream about foreign sources when you are digging into their corruption.
Billions went missing in Ukraine, and all of the people testifying before the intel committee were involved at the very least in covering it up, shutting down investigations from both the US side and the Ukraine side. They all know it, which is what makes this exercise so cynical. Giuliani was right to investigate himself, and if Nunes talked to Ukrainian sources, he was also right to do so. It was the only way you could find out your own State Department was implicated in multibillion dollar corruption.

Investigative journalist Lee Smith’s new book, released October 27, 2019, "The Plot Against the President: The True Story of How Congressman Devin Nunes Uncovered the Biggest Political Scandal in U.S. History", lays out Devin Nunes’ visit to Ukraine and his investigation including his meeting with Shokin, but it was in 2018, long before Joe Biden declared any intent to run for President. Nunes was seeking the roots of the Russia/Trump hoax.
What’s fake is the spin that Nunes is in cahoots with Trump to bribe the Ukrainians.
Oh this is what was brought up in the hearing Thursday?
