That may understate the case on the illustrious John F. Kerry. If I remember, wasn’t he “awarded” 5 Purple Hearts in a total of 3 months on the ground in VN? For sustaining 5 “wounds”, none of which required any medical attention beyond a band-aid? Which was then his ticket back to the US? Which allowed him to begin his politicking, in uniform, at the Paris peach talks? (It has been a while, so maybe my recollection is wrong, but...)
