It was just a consensual relationship....Republicans need to stay out of our bedrooms, etc.
Yup, that's what they said after a decade of sexual harassment sensitivity training that preached the disparity in position at work makes consent impossible. How can a lowly White House intern refuse the President of the United States? Guess we were wrong because Democrat is an excuse for everything
It's seemed like James Carville was a guest on every other channel defending Bill, attacking "crazy" Ken Starr, attacking Republicans. He was claiming they were trying to overturn the results of two elections when the worst case Dems would still have the White House it just meant Al Gore would've been POTUS!
As I remember, he used pal Vernon Jordan to get her a nice gig after the internship. He wore the tie she gifted him on the day she testified but somehow that was coincidence and not witness tampering.
He was on video lying under oath and, consequently lost his law license and was rebuked by his alma mater but somehow that was "OK" for a POTUS because it was about a "personal matter" that no one should've been looking into. Except #metoo! Their inconsistency and willingness to change the rules based on the "who" and partisan interest is why I can't align myself with Democrats.
Lindsay Graham has made the point that Senate Republicans knew Trump didn't want to give aid to Ukraine or anybody. It's not like that was a campaign issue or anything! /s
Given how Trump's been resistant to foreign aid consistently, it makes no sense to Graham that Trump would put conditions on aid because if Ukraine delivered he's be stuck with the commitment to give aid!
