The nature of our republic is that Congressmen, in order to get reelected, must continuously pass laws in order to seem productive. That’s what legislatures do - pass laws.
Unfortunately, most laws take away freedoms rather than grant them, or they grant privileges to one group at the expense of others.
Given enough legislative sessions, every citizen will be guilty of violating some law, if for no other reason that there are so many laws that citizens cannot possibly know what they are & how to comply with them. Ignorance of the law is no excuse. Our income tax code has already reached this point.
Is there no limits on Congress? Yes, there are limits in the Constitution, but they are routinely ignored.
Take the phrase “keep & bear arms”. Keep means to possess or own, bear means to carry. According to the 2nd Amendment, the right of the people to own & carry arms shall not be infringed. Yet The Feds & states, even municipalities have a myriad of laws that infringe upon this right. The 2nd Amendment has been ignored by lawmakers & upheld by our courts.
This has got to stop, yet our overseers keep cranking out the tyranny. History tells us how this all ends: revolution, anarchy, & chaos.
