It is designed to prevent corruption and shady dealings.
Lets see...if I look in the Intel employee handbook...it says:

For company reasons or international reasons? Company reasons I can understand for their own security. Sounds like you need a good smart phone data plan for times like this.
Heh. I have one. It’s how I get all my internet at home and even Netflix (we’re in the sticks).
But using my smartphone to browse the internet is an amazing hassle. I avoid it at all costs. The screen’s too small and I hate using a touch screen to type.
