Long story short, this all part of the fallout from last November when Swift decided to jump ship from Big Machine Records, the start-up company that nurtured her career since she was a teenager, in favor of Universal Music Group.

Look at it like a marriage. Swift divorced her first hubby who saw her through all her ups and downs and supported her career (Big Machine Records) in favor of a sugar daddy (Universal) yet still acts like she's married to her first hubby (BMR). She still has the house keys and lets herself in whenever she wants to.

Without Swift, Big Machine is nothing. Taylor Swift was Big Machine. Along comes Scotty Braun and Carlyle Group with $300 million.

And they bought the house.

Swift is basically saying, "I left you for a richer man but you're still supposed to treat me like your wife!"
