I’m not aware of any member of the Armed Forces that doesn’t raise their right hand and take the oath.

The enlisted oath and the National Guard officers oath both pledge or affirm or swear to the president.
If a person becomes an officer not having gone thru either of those, there is no pledge or affirm or swear to the president.
