The irony here, is the fact that by advising the Ukrainians NOT to interfere with US domestic affairs, he was advising them to do just that!
Vindman advised them not to honor the President’s request to investigate the Bidens, because this might impact US elections. But would not FAILURE to investigate the Bidens also potentially impact US elections?

Vidman’s clearly wanted to control the Interactions between the two leaders...and was more than annoyed his advice was ignored.
