The creepy King chose poorly.
Several decades ago, McDonald’s came under fire from vegetarians (before they became vegans) for using meat flavoring on their famous fries.

Placating or trying to placate special groups never works. There is always someone who is unhappy or can find something to gripe about.
“Before you do, do a search for the 2 dozen ingredients and the sodium content.”
Adults should limit sodium to 2,300 milligrams per day, about 1 teaspoon of salt.
Without adding salt at the table this portion of “food” that is half.

Supposed to be 1/4lb before cooking.
OTOH, it’s the chemicals in the artificial smoke flavor one should worry about. Wonder what vegan soy boy has to say about that.
we tried it.
it tasted OK, not wonderful by a long shot but OK
which may be attributed to the lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, mustard, etc
I think it is wonderful the company is offering a vegie sandwich product. i think, however, i will just buy their regular beef ones anyway.
maybe if they just offer a regular vegie sandwich that does not try to imitate or pretend it is beef, it would be much better? i, at least, would buy that
If they hate Meat so much why doesn’t the meat flavor turn their stomachs
“Chickens and pigs pretty much the same vegetarian diets “
I only eat vegan chickens. ;>)
I thought the filet o'fish was cooked in the fryer..

But why? Why do vegans want a vegetable burger that tastes like beef if they dont Ike beef??? Thats effed up and backwards.
All three kooks were invited to eat elsewhere.
Now that I know they are eating vegan burgers cooked with beef additive I won’t be so upset:)
Personally I think the Impossible Burger would taste a lot better with some bacon on it.
For some reason my parents in their last years loved Hardee’s fish sandwich.
Every time I would take them to the Dr. etc they would have me stop by and let them order one. I once tried it and it was OK but nothing more.
To be honest...if they thought there was money in vegetarian burgers and they can sell them then have at it.
If you look in their marketing materials, it says it is a plant-based burger concoction. It doesn’t say it’s vegan.
Personally, I have had other plant-based burger products, and while they didn’t taste bad, I was hungry much sooner than I would be with the real McCoy.
In Ithaca, there is a vegetarian restaurant called The Moosewood. It has excellent food. It’s very tasty and I highly recommend it, but the meal just doesn’t stay with you the way a Porterhouse & a Baked Potato does.
Golly gee who could have seen this coming?
It is not advertised as vegan because it has mayo on it.
I saw an interview with the CEO one of these pretend meat companies — on FBN, I think. IIRC, he said they add hemoglobin to make it taste like meat. Isn’t hemoglobin meat-ish? It sounded gross to me. A big, fat, juicy, medium-cooked burger with a slice of onion and Cheddar can’t be beat.
Here’s my question: If vegans are so against meat, then why are they always trying to make stuff taste like it?
