Why the hell are all these unelected bureaucrats “listening in” to calls between the leader of the Free World and the president of a foreign country? I doubt anyone other than Harry Hopkins “listened in” to calls between FDR and Churchill or between Eisenhower and Khrushchev. This entire structure of overpaid, often useless bureaucrats needs to be renovated and replaced; I never voted for Jennifer Williams or the creep Vindman or the whistleblower, Eric Ciaramellow. What the hell are they doing making policy?

The answer can only be that the leaders know it and consider it ok. The leaders, knowing that, either trust their listeners to not blab or assume their conversations will become public.
