I can’t think of anything more inappropriate than an ambassador of the United States (or of any country for that matter) taking part in a political protest in the country to which they/zir/it is posted.
I believe it was gay pride parade, not a protest although there many Ukrainians protesting the parade and many arrests of the anti-gay group. I don’t know if she has come out, but they claim she is one of them.
