Midnight Basketball:
In 1994, Bill Clinton pushed for an anti-crime bill that would lead to 100,000 more police officers as well as a number of programs intended to "deter crime where it starts" by providing "community activities like midnight basketball." Midnight Basketball was as effective as pizza at curbing crime.

Don’t forget that the idea for “midnight basketball” was spawned by the Democrat/Left’s long-standing and deep-seeded — still practiced today — racism: “How do you stop five black men from attacking a white woman? Throw ‘em a basketball!” In Sweden, it’s muslims and pizza.

I was working a contract in St. Louis in 1994 in downtown, south of the Arch. Driving down the road one night, I found dozens and dozens of basketball goals set up on one side of the road.
It was about then I learned of “midnight basketball”.
