As I recall, this is a mis-characterization of the request. Trump asked for investigation of 'Cloudstrike,' an operation conducted by the DNC and the Ukraine. Zelensky brought up the topic of Biden...

I remember that Joe wasn’t running for office, his son had recently died, and nobody wanted him to run.
Then, all of a sudden he announces his candidacy and says his dead son would have wanted him to run.
I think it was the DEMS who came to him and said, “sorry bout your dead son, but you gotta run or we all go down for the UKRAINE scam”.
That’s why the DEMS are protecting Joe by saying that Trump is just doing this to eliminate his opponent. Which is odd considering Nobody knows who is going to be the winner of the DEM CONVENTION.

The FBI hired them to review the DNC server hack which crowd strike blamed on Russians
The theory is that Crowdstrike being a Silicon Valley outfit is a bunch of lefties who cooperated with Comey to try to smear Trump by saying Russia hacked the server to help their stooge Trump
The issue is why did Comey use a third party when the FBI has its own folks
Legend has it the server is in the Ukraine

My worry is that its a BAAAAD precedent not that it was a bad or illegal call. How do future presidents conduct negotiations if there can be no expectation of confidentiality?
