The children of foreign nationals are themselves foreign nationals, not natural born citizens, even if they are also given US citizenship.
Natural born citizens are NATURALLY citizens because they could not possibly be anything else, born here of citizen parents, solely Americans.
Natural born citizens have ONE nationality.
Anyone born with more than one is not naturally American.

These days, (D)'s can get away with putting a usurper in the oval office (although, the (R)'s were the first to do it)...the (R)'s best not nominate someone who isn't a natural Born Citizen...because there is a large percentage of informed, principled constitutionalists/originalists that would not vote for him.
That, and just as a general issue, many in this country do not like family dynasties in the Presidency.
