There are false flags and agents posing as protestors.
The protestors use fires and blocking streets defensively to block the police and to escape and not be caught.
The public overwhelmingly, according to polling surveys, support the violent protestors over police. 2% stated they side with police. Not a typo. 2%.
This is because the police started this when the demonstrations were peaceful. Millions of people, marching and singing hymns. Police began using tear gas and beating demonstrators.
The ChiComs initially sent gangsters to beat protestors and the police did not respond.
Regular people have experienced the police brutality directed not only at active participants.
Hong Kong wants autonomy, not ChiCom rule. They were promised autonomy by UK and ChiComs.
Police are now comprised of Chinese brought in from China. There are videos of them speaking perfect Mandariin. Some are probably Chinese cops and others gangsters.

That was probably the attack that occurred at HK’s Yuan Long MTR Station where a group of over 100 thugs clad in white indiscriminately started attacking protesters, women, elderly and children. Till now, we do not know the identity of these attackers and many have surmised that they were gang members (triads) instigated by the ChiComs to create chaos.
But how do you explain the occupation of Kai Tak Airport that halted travel? That could not have been planted by the ChiComs could it?
BTW, as an aside, China and her supporters ( both Chinese and Westerners ) are blaming the CIA and the American National Endownment for Democracy ( NED ) for financing the protest to cause chaos in HK and China. Just FYI.
