Check your settings. The cop comes in loud and clear. He was holding the bag to detain him.

I hear the perp fine I can’t hear the police officer so I assumed the police was concerned over the bag and not the food. Why would a police officer want to arrest someone over a sandwich unless he stole it? It isn’t my settings it’s my hearing.. 60 db loss in both ears.. To much work around jets!!!

He says it’s California state law. In BART’s apology, they noted that there is no eating in the “paid area,” whatever that means. I suppose it’s an area beyond a turnstile. I kind of agree with the notion that Californians—particularly in San Francisco—need to just accept the asinine laws created by the asinine people they love to elect, but concern for eating in “paid areas” is laughable in a city with a new DA who just condoned public urination and, presumably, defecation.

A person is prohibited from committing the following acts on a BART vehicle,
BART facility, or BART properry unless otherwise specified in this Section:

I. Smoke or expel the residue of any tobacco product including chewing tobacco.

II. Consume any alcoholic beverage or possess an open container of any alcoholic beverage.

III. Eat or drink in the paid areas of the stations or on the trains.

And so on thru Rule XVII as listed below which I haven't copied/pasted.

Perp? Really? Your use of that word to describe an innocent guy trying to get to work is very telling on where your mindset is.
