As I said in post 44, it’s what he does (makes deals). A deal would likely get him reelected, despite the kicking, screaming and temper tantrums that would be displayed here on FR. But, more likely, he will push a bill that gives amnesty to the dreamers, and the left will reject it, AGAIN leaving the dreamers as political pawns. Trump can paint the dems as “putting the interests of illegal immigrants, criminals and drug cartels, over those of the dreamers”.

The Dems will say Congress already passed a bill protecting the Dreamers and all Trump would need to do would be to get the Senate to pass it and for him to sign it. You're right in that the Dreamers are nothing but a a political pawn for both sides, but I don't see where Trump has the upper hand in it.
