My understanding is that in the military any order given by your superior should be considered valid unless obviously illegal. And if you consider it obviously illegal that matter will still be determined by a court martial. That’s how Terry Lakin lost his career. And Vindman should go through the same process.

We are setting an awful precedent for the future. After Trump’s Term(s) are complete, this will be the new standard operating mode for any President the Deep State doesn’t like. We have ventured off to anarchy and add to that Judges that ignore written Law and apply “feel good” quotients. Hard to have a lot faith in the future.
Vindman should be sitting in the brig awaiting his article 92 court martial. Instead he’s just being removed from the NSC.
