He’s right, regardless. Immigrants to Canada aren’t going to feel the same way about Remembrance Day as native born Canadians who grew up with it.

What is even more remarkable is that Pierre Trudeau when PM could get away with straight up insulting the Canadian Forces on the floor of Parliament and there were only a few boos. This was in 1966, as I recall. Just flat utter contempt for the uniformed forces saying, among other things, ‘we have better things to spend money on than that sort of stuff’.

Very true, forgot to mention that in my post. Seems like people are becoming afraid to say anything un-PC. The new USSR is being born in front of our eyes.
