My magazines have springs and followers, do clips work better?

My magazines have lots of clips to mark pages that I want to refer to. 100 clips would be a lot for a normal magazine, but hey, whatever.

I have a bunch of 10 round clips for an SKS. Does this mean I can put 100 of them in a magazine for my M15 or AK for a total of 1000 rounds without a reload? Wow, that would be great!
