I that “hot mic” clip, she looked sincerely upset that she wasn’t able to break an actual news story. It was practically Pulitzer worthy. Maybe under some reporters’ skin are actual journalists. She could have a future in a real news setting.
His name has been known since at least October 19th, when Schiff inadvertently released an unredacted transcript of some questioning of William Taylor by Mark Meadows.

I agree. I was surprised at how angry she was. That said, I don’t know a thing about her because I never watch national TV news.
But I have a friend who works for a local station, which is the only thing I ever watch. I can imagine how infuriated she’d be if she weren’t allowed to do a story on somebody in our town who was doing something like Epstein’s stuff, even on our relatively minor level. Some people actually do go into the journalism business because they’re interested in the truth....but this doesn’t mean their bosses have the same interest.

She was fine with spiking the story until it was eventually broken by others. She was angry about the personal/professional loss to herself, not that the story was spiked. Imagine how many other opportunities she has had to do "real journalism" on stories about Hillary, Obama, Biden, Ukraine, Benghazi, Syria, the Russia hoax, and dozens of other stories that no one has taken on. Did we see her reporting on Ciaramella? Is she going to complain now that Mollie blurted it out, that she was told not to report on it?
Spiking stories is a daily occurrence in our media, and Amy spikes with the best of them, just as she is told. Truly independent journalists at the national network level are rare today, and I wouldn't include Amy Roback among them.
It’s so stupid that everyone runs around trying to obey the Democrats made up rules! There is nothing against the law or rules that says the media or anyone else cannot tell who the Whistleblower is.
Republicans need to quit playing by these made up rules!

I’m sure she’s as bad as the rest, but don’t shoot down somebody who was “caught” doing the right thing even a couple of years ago and has lost her job as a result.

Amy didn’t lose her job, and is toeing the company line to keep it. It was a producer who didn’t even work at ABC anymore and was fired by CBS. And she wasn’t even the leaker. The leaker still works at ABC and hasn’t revealed her identity.
Before this is all done, it will come out that the major media players are on the bankroll of the left.

Yep - they went out of their way to deny and obfuscate even as she said the name is/has been out there and instead of reporting on whether the “rumors” are accurate or not, they just keep pretending that the name is unknown and hasn’t been out there for a long time...
