Love him or hate him, he’s got some class. He doesn’t need a Honda. He found that someone does. Good on him. I don’t care what team he plays for, that’s an individual act of kindness.

Early in his career he was a bit of a whiner. Also, he’s the best player in the world.

So some self inflicted, some talent.

He certainly does things for Canadian veterans.
“Gord Miller talked about his favorite Sidney Crosby story in a TSN segment, and it’s pretty incredible.

On Crosby’s day with the Cup in 2016, he took the Cup to a children’s hospital in Canada. After he was done visiting the hospital, he asked if there was anywhere else they could take the Cup. Miller remembered that there was a veterans hospital nearby, so Crosby decided that they would take the Cup there.

The veterans were all congregating in one room to see the Cup, and a few remarked that a man named Joe would have loved to be there for the event. Someone asked the veterans who Joe was, and someone explained that Joe was a Korean War veteran, blind and bedridden, and stuck in his hospital room.

Since Joe couldn’t come to the Cup, Crosby wanted to take the Cup to Joe. They went to Joe’s room, and someone told Joe that Crosby had come to visit with the Stanley Cup.

According to Miller, Joe said, “Oh, I’m sorry Sid. I’m a Montreal Canadiens fan.”

Crosby said that wasn’t a problem, and asked Joe who his favorite Canadiens player was. Joe said his favorite player was Maurice Richard.

Crosby brought the Cup over to Joe, found Richard’s name engraved on the Cup, and traced Joe’s finger over the engraving.”

In the words of Don Cherry, “He’s a beaut! A good Canadian boy!”

Well yes although Don Cherry never liked Crosby (I think it’s because Crosby came from the wrong side of the tracks aka Nova Scotia)

Get a Bill of Sale that says $1.00 and Favors. Pay government theft fees on that $1.00 ONLY.

I did that with a Truck from My Brother. They wanted Me to pay a $50.00 Gift Tax Fee. I showed the Bill of Sale. I paid 5 Cents Tax.

Did you see what my Avs did against the Preds the other night? Their old player and nemesis Duchene scored against them early in the 3rd, putting the Preds in the lead. He made some insulting motion with his hands after scoring (not the typical insult but something annoying).

May have been quite the mistake. The Avalanche were suffering a 5 game losing streak after being at the top of the league, due to injuries of great players and overall loss of mojo.

But after their old Duchy showed his dismissiveness, the Avs scored immediately. And again. And again... in 8 minutes they scored 6 times. Somewhere in there the great Pekka slinked off the ice. Game ended 9-4. Mojo back. We won again last night.

I noticed the score, but didn’t know what happened. Hawks beat Leafs. It was pretty even till the Hawks didn’t show up for the 3rd period, but still hung on to win. Glad they signed Robin Lehner. Other than that, I sometimes wonder if they are deliberately trying to tank, to get the first draft pick. It’s likely to be a long season again. Kane and Toews are just not the same as they were in the past.

Come on, the kings need that first draft pick.

By the way. First draft pick = coolest thing in the world other than the cup. Look at our Cole Makar. NHL 3rd star of the week. He’s an amazing 20 year old scoring defense wizard. So adorable and powerful.
