But this is a situation where it may, just may make more sense to leave that issue hanging. Oh yeah, ASK to question the Bidens; leave it as a hanging peril. But leave it as a threat, not as an insistence. The reason to strategically hesitate is that if Trump is so insistent upon questioning the Bidens, it appears to be a retaliatory whataboutism to use the current happy meme. And furthermore; if the current main stroke of the impeachment push is that Trump asked for a Biden investigation as a political shanking of a potential opponent; then insisting upon deposing Biden in Congress would appear to ratify that accusation. It may also cost Trump support in the Senate as we have seen.
Always a good reason for the GOP to nothing. Always a good reason for Democrats to fight for every inch every single day. Given the midgterms it seems the Dems have the better strategic operation in Congress at the moment.
