I’ve said since the turn of the century that in a democracy, you not only get the government you want. You get the government you deserve.
I literally see the US as 50 separate countries kept in check by an overarching common constitution. What that means is that, as a Kentuckian, when I see crazy stuff happening in Virginia or California, I’m like an Irishman seeing crazy stuff in Germany or France. Not my country.
It also speaks to why I moved from my longtime home, Seattle, to KY 8 years ago. And it changed my life in so many good ways.
I may be close behind as I prefer to see cows and forests over fags anytime here in Hollywood. Then again, I decide when to move and not forced by leftards..
