An elite police officer who helped arrest the son of El Chapo was shot 155 times in a brutal car park execution.
The 30-year-old officer, identified only as Eduardo, is reported to have been killed outside a shopping centre in the city of Culiacan.
He had helped detain Ovidio Guzman, El Chapo's son, last month.
He was promptly released.
According to local media, the victim was a member of the operation launched by the Culiacan authorities to arrest El Chapo’s son and extradite him to the United States.

Places I went as a kid I wouldn't get close to these days.
But with as much blame as Mexico deserves if it wasn't for the demand side in the US for dope the problem wouldn't exist. I'm not sure the cartel killings in Mexico are worse than a busy weekend in Chicago. If not it's only because the thugs in Chicago are bad shots.
The war on drugs is a miserable failure. Not that I have any ideas other than a full out war. And we haven't done that in any war since WWII.

Well what’s preventing us is the House and Senate, as well as giving the House a real reason to impeach. But Obodor’s “let’s be friends” public approach is only demonstrating his weakness. Behind the scenes he’s likely taking big money to keep out of it since he controls only a small part of the country.
Maybe after the 2020 election if DJT wins will be the time.
He should have been given asylum in one of the Spanish speaking countries. Him and his entire family.
President Trump offered to help the President of Mexico to rid his country of the criminal drug cartels. Had the Mexican President accepted President Trump’s offer, the Mexican President would have been dead by sun down.
Along with their children, wives, brothers, sisters and extended family. There should be a bounty on these animals.
