The transcript of the testimony, which occurred behind-closed-doors, was released Wednesday as part of the Democratic Party’s effort to make the impeachment inquiry more transparent.
During the testimony, House Oversight Committee investigator Steve Castor questioned Ambassador Taylor about the whistleblower report. Castor then asked, “Does a person by the name of Eric Ciaramella ring a bell for you?”
Taylor replied, “It doesn’t.” When asked if he “never had any communications with somebody by that name,” the ambassador said, “Correct.”
