well the company was out 3 miles from town, we lived near the company....it was started over 100 yrs. as a Poultry Farm generations back. Grew til it was INC etc. Town was like most smaller towns but bigger than the drive by and blink and you’ll miss it types. Town cops and all you’d expect, schools hospital.etc. In fact the oil people loved it so much several resettled there....perfect for raising a family....but not so big you don’t know where your kids are or who they’re hanging with..

No town cops here. Just county sheriffs. No hospital. One same grocery store. A drugstore. No bars. Post office and county library branch. Lousy schools. It's small and slow. And that's it. I live here because of my cattle farm, not the town.

I don't socialize so what goes on in town is a mystery to me.
