Well all I can say is here where I live the Republican newcomers ‘locally’ are knocking out the old schoolers like crazy.... And it does all begin on a local level. Not a good time now to run as a Demorat.
This evidences that Trumps message to vote in elections ,at all levels, is getting out as well as that people are crossing the aisle.
I live out in the country on a cattle farm and the few people I do know are conservatives. Pretty much isolates you to live on a farm. I don't know but a handful of people in the small town 3 miles away, like the owner of the hardware store, the owner of the local garage and the owner of the feed store.
People keep their noses to the grindstone here working and don't spend time talking politics.
But I do get a general sense talking to these small business owners that people have more money in their pockets, are spending more money and feel good about the economy.
Not much activism going on around here either. Glad I don't live in the urban centers where political partisanship is more on display.
