A lot of the 85% chooses to look the other way for a variety of reasons. And the corruption goes on and on.
Unfortunately, the bigger government gets, the more “opportunities” for corruption and graf there are, and the payoffs become increasingly bigger. Meanwhile, the congress and the agency watchdogs (which are really guard dogs) are content to let the system roll on as long as it benefits them.
