Yes. Republicans won the five other statewide offices handily. They won four of them with 58% or more of the vote. But 400,000 registered Republicans didnt vote in the governors race. And the Democrat won by 4,100 votes.
You make excellent points. This one does not pass the smell test. I wasnt there and know nothing of how the campaign went but in many of these races that Republicans lost last time, there was tons of Soros money pouring into the races and the candidates misrepresented themselves as reasonable people. In many cases they used veterans to win votes.
Too many Republicans dont seem to understand the stakes of modern elections.
