Todd knows that no Republicans voted for impeachment, despite the graphic he put up on national television. In fact, he said during the show, “I have one with an asterisk here. I don’t know what you do with Justin Amash. It’s not a zero. At the same time, he’s not a Republican anymore.”

Follow the lead of the House, Chucky. He is identified as an Independent.

IMHO the timing was poorly missed. I’ve had the same lame push back here for over 2 years now. This two tier justice system IS the undoing of the republic and as of yet Trump has left the correction to surrogates. And yes I do know the reasons he may have taken that position so I don’t need a diatribe of excuses. While he has tackled a great many issue with great success and I unwaveringly support him, he has not tackled what in my opinion is the penultimate concern of our time.

The only Republican to be broadly supportive of the latest anti-Trump effort is Sen. Mitt Romney of Utah, a man whose opposition to Trump is seen as more ego-based than principled.

Donald Trump Jr's favorite Democrat.

When the groundwork has been completed and the American people have been prepared for the truth about the conspiracy to overthrow our government, he will unleash the dogs from hell on them and they will have no defense.

The timing is related to the 2020 election. If the torpedoes explode too far away from the hull of the SS Sedition, there won't be much damage.

I've been in politics a long time, and I can't even begin to guess when the best time to strike would be.

No you are wrong

The House started the ball on Halloween. Have you been asleep this whole time?

Also, all the Justice Committee needs to do is write up the Articles, pass it through the committee, and “initiate” a vote, that is it.

The House of Representatives shall chuse their Speaker and other Officers; and shall have the sole Power of Impeachment Article I, Section 2, Clause 5

The House brings impeachment charges against federal officials as part of its oversight and investigatory responsibilities. Individual Members of the House can introduce impeachment resolutions like ordinary bills, or the House could initiate proceedings by passing a resolution authorizing an inquiry.

The Committee on the Judiciary ordinarily has jurisdiction over impeachments, but special committees investigated charges before the Judiciary Committee was created in 1813. The committee then chooses whether to pursue articles of impeachment against the accused official and report them to the full House. If the articles are adopted (by simple majority vote), the House appoints Members by resolution to manage the ensuing Senate trial on its behalf.

These managers act as prosecutors in the Senate and are usually members of the Judiciary Committee. The number of managers has varied across impeachment trials but has traditionally been an odd number. The partisan composition of managers has also varied depending on the nature of the impeachment, but the managers, by definition, always support the House’s impeachment action.

Pay attention to the second sentence in bold. Again, the Constitutional enumerations regarding the HOR is vague.

I stand corrected, you are right.

It will be interesting to see if Schiff’s witness’s testimony prior to the vote of the full house to continue his previously illegitimate impeachment investigation will be included in his report to the House or if he will have to do it again under proper authority.

Believe me, Trump is a master of this. I am enjoying the show.

I am enjoying the show.

Yes, I am too.

I could make the call about the best time to strike if I had more inside info - but we never get that.

We'll be able to ascertain the inflection point after it happens.

Then, we might learn some more stuff about this process.

Apologies for being gruff, just pissed off at the whole mainstream media bias that is a cheerleader of the unethical actions displayed by the democrats (Suppose to be the 4th Estate that checks corruption, which this process of going after Pres. Trump is, an act of corruption as well as treason). The Republican minority in the HOR is powerless to stop the corruption, unless enough democrats act on their conscience.

The founders left impeachment vague which was a huge mistake. However, they had faith in 'The People' to elect sane individuals. Unfortunately, a lot of the electorate that vote for the democrat platform are insane and ignorant.

The electorate better wake up. Any sane electorate would reject a democrat on the ballot in 2020 due to their sinister actions and motives.
