“on health care, the GOP is very, very unattractive”

That’s not the problem. The root problem is that Americans have come to believe that the government owes them healthcare, free or otherwise. Everyone has bought into it.

I think it’s possible to sell “you can’t have it for free”.

What you CAN’T sell is constant fear of penury, visible distress and or burnout among frontline nurses and doctors, and huge salaries and investment returns among paper pushers and people whose time is spent redesigning systems that used to work and no longer do.

THAT’S the practical effect of the GOP healthcare platform, and it is not acceptable to voters.

Being scared of “demonrats” is not enough to win voters to policies that hurt them and their families.
