The issue of drug producing crops in Mexico may not be unsolvable. Coca is not grown in Mexico, and the price of heroin has dropped dramatically in part because of fentanyl taking it’s place. I’m sure the remaining poppy fields would be easy to identify and target.

This is just a micron of what the Baja coastline looks like. From Cabo to TJ is about the same distance as SD to the OR border. But Baja has TWO sides, so double the coastline. And then of course there's mainland MX.

Where are the beach houses? Where are the private, gated communities? In Calif, these properties would have homes avg $10m. But in Baja, there is literally around 3,000 miles of empty, undeveloped coastline. With little to no work available, doesn't it make sense peasants would either try to migrate to the USA, or grow drug crops for the cartels?

And what to illegals do when they reach Calif? Yep, they go to work in gated communities here located on prime coast real estate, rather than stay put in their own country doing the same exact thing.
