I always wonder; google must employ hundreds if not thousands of employees.
Out of all those employees, how many really are demanding this?
Lets just say that Google had 1000 employees, out of that 1000 only 100 demanded this stupid crap.
Do the other 900 employees lose their jobs because 10% of the employees are IDIOTS?
Time to FIRE everybody who signed that petition; let them find work that doesn’t involve forestry products (paper products-boxes), oil, any type of travel (needs fuel), electricity (needs fuel or dams).

Good luck running google as all the computers utilize petroleum products as do the offices. As others have noted employees will not be able to use cars to get to office nor will they find power for their networks and machines which is supplied in part by fossil fueled plants.
And of course none of these will have the least bit effect on the climate. The stupidity is astounding.
Sounds like we should pull the plug on Google right now.
