That website is full of crap. Both my husband and I retired from the Postal Service. He did 35 years and I did 32 years, and neither one of us made 6 figures at any time, even with overtime. My retirement is half of my salary.
It took me almost a year to be hired from the time I took the test, and I made a 100 on the test.
My guess is that this guy is a Postal Support Employee, basically a temporary position that can become permanent. As far as his previous charges go, he does not have to report that until he is convicted. The union would not allow the Postal Service to fire him (especially in New York)until the case was over.
