Isn’t this how federalism is supposed to work? A state makes laws that affects that state and if it’s successful, then try to make it a national legislation. If it fails, the state repeals it and hopefully buries it forever.

Coloradans resoundingly voted “no” last November on a proposed 2,500-foot setback of any new oil and gas drilling from homes, businesses, and waterways... Proposition 112 would have effectively wiped a critical industry off the Colorado map, eradicating an estimated 147,800 jobs by 2030.

Undeterred by that pesky “will of the people,” leftist majorities in the state legislature introduced and rammed SB19-181 through in little more than a month.

Meanwhile millions of families are adversely affected causing much consternation. But you are correct. Perhaps the Californication will end as a result.?.?
