A pregnant woman is credited with saving the lives of her husband and daughter after she used an AR-15 to fatally gun down a home intruder, a report said.
The hero mom sprung into action when two intruders entered the family’s Lithia, Fla. home last week and pistol whipped her husband while violently grabbing their daughter, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.
“They came in heavily hooded and masked,” the husband, Jeremy King, told Bay News 9.

Just an amateur writer here, but IMHO this was horribly written, and I can't help if that was on purpose. Common sense says she shot him in the home he ran and ran out of adrenaline etc and died from the shot, they make it sound like it was a shooting galley off the back door or something shooting him in the back, or at least that is the impression they want to leave IMHO....

That’s pretty heavy for a small person. Is it a Benelli or a Saiga or something different? I have a Saiga-12 but that thing is heavy, like a BAR. So of course it’s loaded with self-defense rounds and cycles about the rate of a BAR. But it won’t over-penetrate into the neighbor’s house.

Or just charging her with flat out murder ala George Zimmerman. I mean what’s the difference besides this being inside and Zimmermans being outside? Both happened in Florida and Zimmermans attacker was trying to kill him as well by smashing his head into a cement sidewalk which was verified by a witness. And after saving his life with his firearm they charged Zimmerman with murder, the media destroyed his life and his marriage, made him out to be a racist akin to Hitler not to mention the over 5,000 death threats he received and the attempt on his life when a guy tried to shoot him through his car. If I was this woman I would get the hell out of Florida ASAP and move to another country because the left WILL destroy her life.

If she shot the bad guy in her home while he was a threat it was self defense.
If the bad guy was running away and already outside he would no longer beca threat and the shooting is no longer self defense.
