The #1 employer complaint about engineering-type employees is their inability to write clearly.

But BS degree requirements have long been more specialized than BA degrees to keep such classes to a minimum.

That was a fine pass reception, but then you fumbled the ball.

A person of normal intelligence is capable of learning to write clearly by the ninth grade.

The problem is the K-12 schools are graduating functional illiterates.

We were taught wtiting in elementary school jr. high and hs. Teachers read and marked them.writing came naturally for me and served me well in my career. Add finance to people who can’t write. I had to travel thought our U.S. offices. The worst were in Texas and Fla. Not a coherent sentence.
