SETA is a think tank, mainly Turkic researchers.

This is an excellent analysis of the Syrian militias, irregular fighters, and armies of all the present ethnicities.

Syria and its divisions is the most complicated political and conflict environment in the world.

This analysis is a must for anyone to educate themselves.

I’ll said here again loud and often - who gives a flying fig about Syria?

I’m dead serious- that’s a patch of sand that’s been reduced to rubble with about 10 different Islamic groups fighting each other as they have for about seven or eight centuries

who gives a crap?

For the first time, the Syrian Interim Government formed by the Syrian National Coalition has managed take the armed opposition under its command.

They need to thank President Trump.

They will be dead meat in northeastern Syria, and Turkey will wind up leaving northeastern Syria as well. As that happens the U.S. will not intervene in favor of Syria and Russia/Assad will not (then) contest U.S. control of Syrian oil fields that the U.S. and the Kurds took back from ISIS in north western Syria.

Erdogan does not give a dam about the Syrian Opposition, other than as his tool for permanent (he hopes) occupation of part of northern Syria.
