Nagging, shaming, shunning and emotional blackmail have been weaponized for political purposes.

Nagging, shaming, shunning and emotional blackmail have been weaponized for political purposes. This is toxic femininity.

According to CSX, one gallon of diesel is enough energy to move one ton of freight 300 miles by rail.

Are you actually saying that air travel uses less energy than rail? Or that the emissions from that one gallon of diesel is more than what the aircraft emits just taxiing to the gate? Really?

I don’t understand your point. It’s the taxes and fees that make rail so impractical here in NA. Get rid of those impediments, then eliminate the unneeded subsidies, increase the availability of long distance trains, and rail would be much more popular.

(OMG, I sound like Willie Green! Shoot me now!)

Yes, just look at the cost data. Cost is roughly proportional to total energy consumption and indirectly pollution. Airline travel is the most energy efficient mode of people transport ever invented. You are comparing apples to oranges. Slow an airliner down to 150 mph and speed up a freight train to 150 mph then take a guess about fuel consumption. Time is money, especially when it comes to people. Train technology had its day, but that was 100 years ago. It's no longer cost competitive for transportation. But socialists have always loved forcing people onto trains no matter the cost. That trait is a key marker for the full onset of libtardism.

Now think of WW2 bombers. 1,000 plus a few thousand more fighter aircraft everyday going from England to Europe.
