“Why did Trump allow these Obama holdovers to roll over?
What was he thinking?”

It is not just holdovers. Trump has named people to posts including cabinet posts sometimes years before finally figuring out they were unsuitable. Personnel is not one of Trump’s strong suits.

One thing I keep in mind about President Trump is that he is the first one in modern times who isn’t a politician.

Someone like the hildabeast could have been fully staffed the first day since she had a lifetime to collect people.

Let me see if I got this right. Trump asked Ukraine to look into Ukraine involvement in 2016 interference. Ciaramella was involves in that interference. So, it’s highly likely he might have been exposed in the Ukraine investigation. Does that sound right? If so, that’s HUGE!

He can't know everyone/everything. He has to take someones word for stuff once in a while. The swamp is so polluted that its almost impossible to get an honest answer. The crud has been growing for over two hundred years.

I’ll politely disagree. He isn’t in that world, never has been. He knows real estate and construction, I doubt he hired many dumbasses, then. But, I do think he is/was naive to think that there were people in DC that thought like him and really wanted to put America First. Only to realize that pretty much all of them should be in prison.

In DC, he has to go with folks that are recommended and will also be able to get through confirmation processes. What’s the first thing that they say....He/She doesn’t have the experience for this or that....A leader is a leader. Doesn’t matter what industry they’re in. But in DC, with civil service laws being what they are, he’s playing the hands that he is dealt.

Who would have thought that Sessions would turn out the way he did? I sure didn’t.

If he didn’t play some of their games, he’d still be trying to put together a Cabinet.

Best thing the man could do is fire all of them(except Pompeo, for now) and get some street fighters in there, but the Swamp and Establishment would never let that happen.
