If it’s a voice vote, Pelosi can “deem” that it passes, just like she “deems” everything else, true or not.

"It’s up to the Senate to derail the runaway train."

Ah, but will they? I am not holding my breath.

“An impeachable offense is whatever a majority of the House of Representatives considers it to be at a given moment in history.”

He should have said it’s rule by men (elites) rather than rule of law. That’s pretty much the state of affairs nowadays throughout the “justice” system.

Apparently Trump is just a wealthy “peasant”.

Anyone else notice how the Dems today acted all sad and upset that they didn’t want to have to do this but had no choice, etc. when back before the elections they were all “Impeach the M*fer” to wild cheers?

Legally speaking an impeachable offense is whatever the House wants it to be.

“Legislation,” is it? So it’s going on to the Senate and then for the President’s signature? It’s House rules, and a vote to continue the House’s descent into lawlessness in the name of the “rule of law” that they’ve turned into a travesty. “Legislation”. Hah.

Nope.
Senate can’t do anything until the House passes the articles of impeachment. And McConnell already said the Senate will have to put on a trial.

She imagines herself Lewis Carrol’s Humpty Dumpty, to whom every word means exactly what she wants it to, because she is the master. She seems more like James Joyce’s Humpty Dumpty to me. But the question is still who is the master. She’ll find out in November of next year, to her sorrow, who really is the master.

On cspan YT, the “analyst” from politico said this bill is “pretty much” the way previous impeachment inquiries have gone. Are they going to continue using the SCIF for 100% of the testimony?

If their rules do not follow due process, as guaranteed by the Constitution, their rules are diddly-squat, and all the Dems are doing is drafting a prohibited Bill of Attainder against the President.

So it’s not impeach proceedings but establishes rules for molesting President Trump short of being an impeachment?

I don’t think that’s going to get help from the Trump Administration.

“It would mean that, if this were “legislation,” but it’s not. In the usually understood sense it isn’t a “measure,” either. It is a resolution. Honestly the persistent sloppiness in reporting drives me nuts.”

indeed. the ignorance and laziness of the average “reporter” are totally stunning ... i guess it’s partially an outgrowth of the fact that so much of the “news” is completely fabricated, that actual facts don’t matter anymore even when they try to report factual news ...

Without the constitutional right of due process guaranteed to the President, and to the Republicans, there can be no “impeachment.”

This vote again is a scam to legitimize an unconstitutional scam by the Democrats. Its was a scam about a scam.Multiple layers of scam.

Soon Schiff, Pelosi ,and Nadler will be so confused by the layers of scamming they won’t be able to locate their own rectums to wipe the bull shit off them.
