Actor Sam Elliot had the perfect resonant baritone voice and demeanor for a certain kind of a sales pitch popular in the 70’s. A latter day Cowboy, as it were. He sounded like that as a young guy in a small movie role in Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid.
