I’ve become a beer snob. I won’t touch any InBev stuff. No Miller/Coors. I stick with the imported German beer or the local craft brews. No IPAs. Brown ales in winter, pilsners in summer.
...
Me, too...add Samuel Smith and Chimay. I could drink only Cincinnati local beers ad infinitum and be just fine.

[ name change ]

Name change worked for Mr. Pitt. And their stock will rise high!

And now at his son’s team’s stadium (the Mike Veeck owned St. Paul Saints) they feature a Craft Beer Corner with a couple dozen choices of the many local’s finest! The times, they are a-changing.

I’m so far from being a hipster, but from the thousands of beers I’ve sampled, IPAs have the cleanest and freshest flavor, the dry/piney aftertaste and often the higher ABV. Now that I can’t drink as much, they are the go to.

My favorite old t-shirt (from about 1994 or 1998) says simply BEER KNURD in Old English lettering. Came from the Flying Saucer and the shirt and the sentiment still fit...craft brewers only.

I’m definitely no hipster, either. I was at a beer-fest in Colorado back 10 or so years ago when I would still do that sort of thing. I didn’t like the IPAs as much as the other beers, maybe bad luck or I just wasn’t hitting the right ones. I’d be willing to give it another shot, tastes change, too.

Yep, other than some craft ales I won’t touch North American pee water beer.

Belgium breweries like St.Bernardus and Trappistes Rochfort have great beers, but they are pricey. Fortunately I am not suppose to drink alcohol so only have a few a year.

And Innis and Gunn from Scotland, like their whiskey and rum finish beers are so tasty.

But not wheat beer...foul tasting brew that is.

Dude!

New England IPA’s are the new thing.
even better with a dash of lime added.

The slogan, “8 is the new 5” has new meaning.

Coors was a good beer, but Tampa Bay has lots of microbrews. I have to try a microbrew from Ol’Burnside Brewing...in my hometown...

Sure wish we could get Yuengling in Nebraska. My buddy who lives in Atlanta brings back cases of Yuengling for us when he comes back around 4th of July and Christmas. That stuff is delicious!

The pilsners are a nice light beer perfect for drinking a few while cooking on the grill after working in the yard. The amber ales are just too heavy for that.

Bad beer for kids that don’t want to learn how to pronounce the styles of real beers correctly.

I don’t care what they call it but they should just ditch all their formulas save one and make Old Style beer, the formula for which they own.

IPA’s taste like you’re chewing on a hops plant. There is “hoppy”, but good lord, that is too much. A good hofbrauhaus or hefeweizen suits me fine.

Great, and with the Flint river water, the beer will taste like a dead dog.
