Our place expedites the dispatch and response and offers ore-arrival instructions to the caller until medics get on the scene and relay pertinent info to the responders...no built-in delay until ALL info is obtained, that’s just dumb. Common sense ain’t so common.

That's how it works around here too. They roll the response right away, and the phrase "still getting further" is said a lot - gathering info while units are enroute. When CAD dispatching was established in this county years ago they were doing just like Salt Lake City, gathering all info before sending anyone out for anything. That didn't last very long before someone said BS to that and changed to the prompt response protocol.
