I agree with that. But let’s suppose Israel annexes the West Bank, and then didn’t give the West Bank Arabs the right to vote in national elections. Israel would not be able to withstand the international outcry that would follow.
Israel would be compared to the old South Africa, where blacks could not vote in national elections. And that comparison would have some validity.
Not that Netanyahu ever asked me, but I think an annexation would be a disaster for Israel in the long run.
