Not caused by the fire. Caused by the pressure gradient with high pressure in Nevada and low pressure diving down the coast. The low pressure was dry, so no rain unfortunately. The wind direction at the surface matched the wind direction aloft so that enhanced the winds.,
Some of the highest wind readings are on the top of mountains so they catch the breeze, or in canyons lined up with the wind direction.
