Used to be the law of the land that immigrants....legal immigrants had to have a sponsor and were prohibited by law from seeking or accepting any government assistance such as food, housing or healthcare. My parents, just like millions of others managed pay for the births of four children as well as house and clothe them before becoming citizens, and all of that despite coming to America with only seven dollars and change in their pockets.

Now the damn liberals demand that we not only welcome illegals but give them more benefits than American citizens.

My mother in law came over legally when she was a teen. Came from Italy. Worked in a sweatshop & saved money to bring her family over. Married a 1st generation American from Sicily. She is a pillar of her community & church.

It’s not like that now for a lot of people. She would have been mortified to take assistance.

Give to our people first!
