Don’t know that one. But I do remember when US news crews were on hand when US Marines in amphibious vehicles waded onto a beach in Somalia during Bill Clinton’s first term.

I’m sure others will clarify my recollection.

You are think of when US forces landed in Somalia for “Operation Restore Hope. They were greeted on the beach by news teams and flood lights for their cameras. It was at the end of the George H.W. Bush administration

A similar event was when storm toopers invaded Manafort’s home and CNN was already there lying in wait with their cameras. The connection between RATs and media is strong.
